I am an Ecuadorian-American junior attending All City Leadership Academy in Brooklyn. I am excited to be a part of the SMRI program because it is a wonderful opportunity to expose myself to a laboratory environment while learning new concepts in the STEM field. Science is a fascinating subject that explains the world we live in and how we interact with the world around us. Unanswered science questions drive humans to experiment with endless possibilities until we understand why and how everything works. That is the beauty of science: there is never an end since there will always be a question to answer.
