My name is Karla Munoz and I attend Central Park East High School in East Harlem. I love science because I tend to question everything around us as I am a very curious person. With science, humans are able to use the knowledge that they have to answer as many questions that they can and our knowledge of how the universe works continues to grow. There’s a sort of mystery to science as many things are indefinite and that we may never fully understand. Moreover, I am excited about SMRI because I want to learn so much more about a topic that I am not too familiar with. I also want to expand my future career choices and get the full-on experience of working in a laboratory conducting research which is something completely new to me.
