I am Shirley Toribio, a junior attending the All City Leadership Secondary School in Bushwick, Brooklyn. Although the term science is itself broad, it has always manifested around me in specific and major ways. I have applied it in self-made inquiries about the functioning of systems around me and do not plan to stop as I grow. The opportunity provided to me by SMRI will allow me to delve into more formal and accurate versions of processes that I have already been engaging in. I look forward to helping conduct research!
